I’m a business owner from Riga, Latvia. My company iPhone Photography School helps people take better photos with the iPhone. I’ve been thinking about moving to a new city for a while now. I’ve always liked Budapest and I finally decided to come for longer. I’m happy that we’ve set up our team to be able to work from anywhere in the world. Now I get to try it myself.
What is your most important life lesson, since you became an entrepreneur?
Life is what you make it. For better or for worse, what you put in is what you get out. Once you understand that, you never need to look for motivation.
What is the best part of your job?
It must be all the amazing people I get to meet. Business partners, mentors, co-workers become friends, inspire me to do more and continuously show something new and exciting about the world. I was glad to meet some very cool at KAPTAR too. Everyone here seems nice, cheerful, yet ambitious.
What was most annoying about working at home?
Definitely the poor internet connection. I need to make a number of calls every day. I’d always seem to lose my connection at the worst possible time. My internet connection even became a running joke in one of our team meetings. That was my first and only day working from home here in Budapest. I joined KAPTAR the next day.
Why did you choose KAPTÁR?
I decided to check out KAPTAR because it’s very close to my apartment. I chose to stay because it has everything I need: an internet connection, great work conditions, and tasty food right next door.
