I am CEO of Polkadot Tiger, an SEO A/B testing tool as well as other products and services that I’ve built. I moved to Budapest in 2015 and began a journey of both location and financial freedom. Ever since then I’ve been a regular traveller to new places and left my job as a developer to create my own businesses, products and services.
Why did you choose KAPTÁR?
KAPTÁR has the best coworking community in Budapest. I’d heard rumours before I came and I must say it has never disappointed. They obviously do an exceptional job at fulfilling their coworking duties with comfortable, reliable and calm productive spaces but on top of that, they provide a friendly and social community that you can be a part of every day.
What is the best part of your job?
I really enjoy the variety of my day to day work. Not only do I get to develop and dive into the code which I really enjoy, I also get to speak with customers, dive into analytical data to identify problems and improve performance and research potential new features and opportunities.
It is hard to get bored when you’re constantly facing new challenges and learning new things.
What was most annoying about working at home?
After working remotely for over 5 years I’ve found that I can become productive at home but without a clear separation between my productive and relaxing spaces I struggle to find a compromise in my daily life.
It tends to be that either I struggle to focus and be productive but relax well or I am really productive but work way too much and forget that I need to find time to relax.
Switching my productive space to a co-working space like KAPTÁR really makes life simple for me because I have a clear separation and when I’m in either space I can enjoy it fully for what it is.
What are your funniest/best KAPTÁR moments?
It feels a little like a “get out free” card but there have honestly been so many! The main thing I love about KAPTAR is that the staff and community are all super friendly and social whilst also understanding that you’re here to work. Whenever I’ve focussed everyone respects that and lets you get on with it, but when you need a break or some after work socialising there is always someone happy to join you.
My funniest and best memories come from the many planned and unplanned events and evenings I’ve spent with the hundreds of KAPTÁR guests over the years I’ve worked here. It is impossible to just a few.
I hope this is ok.
Thanks,
Jamie
