Meet our new community member. Daniel Marlin came to us as a digital nomad from Cape Town, South Africa. His passion is writing and several of his articles got released in magazines like Forbes or Huffington Post.
“KAPTÁR was conveniently located near my district and had brilliant reviews on Google. After my first visit, I felt very welcomed by the staff. I knew it was an atmosphere that I’d enjoy working in – so I stayed!”
What are the biggest milestones in your life?
I developed a love for writing in 2015. I always resonated with the power writing has to educate and inspire people, and a few years ago I decided to document and share lessons of my own.
Over the last three years, my articles on business and digital marketing have been published on Forbes, Entrepreneur Magazine, and The Huffington Post. I’m most proud of this achievement because I had to persist through 13 months of rejection letters before I eventually achieved my dream of having my work featured on a major publication.
What is your most important life lesson, since you became an entrepreneur/freelancer?
Working for yourself is the ultimate freedom. It gives you the ability to design a life around what is important to you, and ultimately achieve some level of balance.
What were your funniest/best KAPTÁR moments?
Watching a beautiful storm approaching over the rooftop bar in the old town. It was very dramatic.
